Plants vs Zombies (PS Vita) Review

Added: 25.01.2014 11:16 | 6 views | 0 comments

The PS Vita Review Network has given their thoughts and review of the PlayStation Vita version of PopCap Games' classic, Plants vs Zombies. "All in All, Plants vs Zombie arrives on the PlayStation Vita with every bit of content it has on other systems, along with plenty of multiplayer options and the Zombie Avatar feature to help you get deep into customization. Although being forced to use the touch screen for playing can be frustrating, it is just as fun as it always has been, and is a great pick-up-and-play game."

Sony Teasing Slim-Related Announcement

Added: 24.01.2014 13:39 | 3 views | 0 comments

Sony is sending out invitations for a PlayStation-related announcement regarding something slim. The invitation below, sent to IGN, reads: "Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest."

The obvious announcement is confirmation that the slim version of PlayStation Vita will be coming to North America and Europe. But why stop there? Maybe Sony will also announce that PS Vita TV will be coming west. Heck, let's take it a step further and consider the possibility of Sony announcing an even slimmer version of PlayStation 3. Yeah... that last one is a little too farfetched.

Media invite hints at imminent plans for slim announcement.

The invitation asks media to join Sony next Thursday, January 30 and reads: "Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest".

PlayStation Vita Slim first launched in Japan in October, coming in at 20 per cent thinner and 15 per cent lighter than the current PS Vita. It's also available in a range of colours, including white, black, yellow and pink, features 1GB of on-board storage and offers improved battery life.

However, the console omits the regular Vita's OLED screen, replacing it with a cheaper LCD display.

Do We Need To Save The Vita That Much?

Added: 24.01.2014 1:21 | 2 views | 0 comments

Type in a Google search with the words "Vita" and "save" and you'll get as many articles about how Sony needs to save the PlayStation Vita as there are articles about how to save games on the Vita. There are features about how Sony's plan to rescue the Vita from poor sales, with analysts like Michael Pachter saying that "there is no future" for Vita. It's doom and gloom everywhere you go on the internet, and while it isn't smart to ignore the advice of anyone who truly wants to see the Vita succeed (those memory cards really are expensive, Sony), it can seem like the gaming media and vocal online fans alike is just picking a target to bash.

Assassins Creed Liberation HD Review | Metal Arcade

Added: 23.01.2014 18:19 | 1 views | 0 comments

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker writes: Assassins Creed Liberation was originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012, and for the most part it was successful at shrinking down the familiar franchise formula to the Vitas small screen. Featuring vast open environments and sandbox gameplay, the game was a showcase for Sonys fledgling handheld, and it was even packaged with the system in a bundle format. Now Ubisoft has released Assassins Creed Liberation HD, a reworked, spruced up port for consoles and PC. Sporting all-new models, textures and lighting, as well as a refined gameplay experience, this is the definitive version of the game. Series fans that missed protagonist Aveline de Grandpres original outing should definitely give it a look.
